Getting to the Congress

Zurich has a very good domestic and international public transport network. The main train station in Zurich has direct connections to most Swiss cities and to neighbouring countries, and the Zurich airport offers several flights a day to the larger European cities. It takes only ten minutes to get from the airport to the city centre by public transport. On the Zurich Tourism website (www.zuerich.com/en), you can find more detailed information about getting to Zurich by clicking on Visitor Info.

Venue

The Congress of Historical Sciences will be held in the main building of the University of Zurich (address: Rämistrasse 71). It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the main train station to the UZH.

With tram no. 10, which leaves directly from the main train station (in the direction of the airport – “Flughafen”), the university is only a few minutes away. Get out at the “ETH/Universitätsspital” stop, walk past the main building of the ETH (university for science and technology) and follow the street (Rämistrasse) for about 350 m.

The reception area for the Congress of Historical Sciences is on floor E of the main building of the University of Zurich (Rämistrasse 71). Use the main entrance to the building; the reception area is to the right next to the main staircase.

All of the events (panels, keynotes, panoramas and podiums) will take be held in rooms in the main building (KOL and KO2). Please check the maps.
